2026 TRIPLE A AWARD WINNERS

Congratulations to our Staples-Motley School District Triple A Award winners, ISABELLE DOBSON and NOAH LARSON. These seniors have demonstrated high academic achievement throughout their high school career while also being involved in MSHSL athletics and arts programs. Both Isabelle and Noah are well-rounded students who demonstrate our Cardinal Priorities both in school and in our community.

**The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, commonly known as the Triple 'A' Award, honors high school seniors throughout the state of MN who have a 3.0 or higher-grade point average and who participate in MSHSL athletic and fine arts activities.

2026 MSHSL ExCEL Award

Congratulations to the 2026 Staples-Motley High School ExCEL award winners, Madison Perius and Tyson Turner. Both Tyson and Madison are leaders in our school who are involved in many different activities and represent our Cardinal Priorities.

The ExCEL Award – Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership – is a unique MSHSL recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, leaders in their schools, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.

Congratulations Brynn and Zach!
🌟 Brynn was nominated for her extensive work with the school play and her continued involvement across the entire music program. Her dedication, talent, and willingness to step in wherever needed make a huge impact on our performing arts community. We’re so grateful for the energy and passion she brings to every production!
 
🤼 Zach earned his nomination after taking on the challenge of competing against a #2 ranked wrestler at a recent individual wrestling meet and coming out with an impressive win! Beyond his successes on the mat, Zach has consistently shown up as a leader, setting a strong example for his teammates both on and off the mat.

Join us for an early out afternoon on January 14th.
This event is for Elementary through Middle/High School Students and their families to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon together at school! We'll offer a variety of activities including board games, card games, 9-Square, and more!

Congratulations to Steve Jennissen our December Cardinal Staff of the Month!

"Steve Jennissen deserves to be recognized as Staff Member of the Month for his absolute marathon effort in bringing the Hometown Careers Collective to life. For three solid months, he hustled behind the scenes—contacting business owners, coordinating details, managing logistics, and steadily shaping this event from idea to impact. The result was a phenomenal day of real-world connections and career inspiration for our students. His work didn’t just make the event happen; it made it meaningful. Steve showed what it looks like when someone goes all-in for kids, and we are incredibly grateful." 

"He did an excellent job at putting this together, going above and beyond his normal duties! It was such a fabulous collaboration with our local businesses!"
